Star∂reamer❤
•Chapter 11•
Rays of sunlight filtered through the blinds, and I opened my eyes half a centimeter. I immediately closed them, and the flashbacks started.
Last night…eating…extremely loud music…and this boy. I had been talking to Lyla, when something flashed in the corner of my eyes. I don’t remember what he was wearing, but I remember him walking past our table…and then he was gone. I had tried to find him, but…
“Amber…! Come on, get dressed! We’re going to be late! Remember how Celine had told us there would be consequences if we were late?” Lyla’s voice snapped me out of the flashback. I rolled out of bed and somehow got myself to look half decent. I took care in fixing my hair, hoping I’d see the him.
“Could you do my hair?” I asked Lyla sleepily.
“I thought you didn’t like me braiding your hair?”
“I changed my mind,” I told her, hoping she wouldn’t ask anymore.
“Fine, come here,” she groaned, but I could see that she was pleased.

We headed to the Dragon Stables, where we had dropped of our dragons the day before. I found Stardreamer in the nursery, still sleeping in a pile of young dragons.
“Star,” I called softly, so I didn’t wake the others. Stardreamer opened an eye, and closed it when he saw that I was looking.
“Stardreamer,” I said, exasperated. I crept towards him and gently poked him. He gave me a feeble kick and turned around. Losing patience, I grabbed him and carried him outside, where he continued to sleep.
“Don’t worry, young dragons are like that,” said a voice behind me. I turned around, and saw Celine with an amused look on her face.
“But you better get him ready. He’ll have to do a lot of walking today.” She led me to a small room on the outer edges of the stable, where brushes and reins were hanging from hooks on three walls. I noticed a tub of water in the corner.
“This is where you groom and dress your dragon,” Celine told me. Since you can’t ride your dragon yet, you have no need for reins or saddles.”

Cheering erupted through the crowds as we were forced to parade down the streets of Mysteria. We hadn’t had anything to eat or drink since this morning, and I was exhausted. So far, I hadn’t gotten a glimpse of him yet, but I was determined too. I swept my eyes in front of me, and then risked a glance backwards. Nothing. Suddenly, Lyla, who was in front of me stopped, and I almost ran into her.
“Hey!” I shouted, before a glare from Lyla stopped me.
One by one, we ascended the steps to the stage, where we were recognized as the next ‘saviors’ of Mysteria. After I got off the stage, I looked down and Stardreamer, who looked as if he was about to fall over.
•This is where I attempt the love story…•
